Dharamsala-Mcleod Ganj

Lo logramos!! Estamos en un pueblecito tranquilo por fin! Este lugar es famoso por ser la residencia del Dalai Lama, y la verdad es que casi todo el pueblo parece un club de fans. Cuando el Dalai tuvo que huir del Tibet ante la invasion china cruzo los Himalayas y se instalo aqui. El gobierno indio le dejo asentarse en estas tierras que para ellos no valian mucho, y desde entonces los tibetanos han ido creando infraestructuras y un pequenyo Tibet en el exilio.
Aqui el ritmo es muy diferente al que hemos vivido hasta ahora, muchos paseos, tiendecitas, templos budistas, chai, trekking relajadito, mas chai... la comida tambien es diferente, mucho menos especiada y casi toda vegetariana.
Hemos hecho un grupo muy majo, nos reencontramos con Sonia y Dani (dos chicos que conocimos en Delhi) y por ellos conocimos a Marc y Maria, todos de Barcelona. Tambien esta Roger, un peruano afincado en Barcelona al que encontramos y perdemos varias veces al dia, y Dipak, un chico del pueblo vecino que a traves de Sonia nos esta acompanyando y guiando estos dias. Entre cartas, cervezas y chow meins nos estamos echando buenas risas.

We did it !! Finally we are in a small and quiet village! This place is known because is the Dalai Lama’s residence, and almost all the place looks like a fan club. When China invaded Tibet, the Dalai Lama crossed the Himalayas and settle here. The Indian government lend them stay in this land with no value for them. Since then, Tibetan people created infrastructures and a small Tibet in the exile.
The time here is really different, a lot of walks, small shops, budist temples, chai, trekking, more chai… the food is different too, less spicy and almost all vegetarian.
We did a really nice group, we met Sonia and Dani again (we met them in Delhi) and trough them we met Marc and Maria; all of them are from Barcelona. We met Roger too, a guy from Peru who lives in Barcelona as well, and we find and lose him several times in the day. And Dipak, a local guy that trough Sonia is spending the days with us and showing us the village. With cards, beers and chow meins we are having a really good time.
